Time Commitment & Certification Overview
We designed this course to be rigorous and respectful of your time.
Time Commitment
We designed this course to be rigorous and respectful of your time.
- 75 minutes per week for live sessions
- Live attendance is encouraged but not required
- All sessions are recorded and available on Teachable
- Optional readings and resources are provided for those who want to go deeper
- No weekly homework
Course Completion
Participants are considered course completers if they:
- Watch or attend all six core sessions (live or recorded), and
- Engage with the course through participation in sessions, discussions, or materials
Engagement can look different for different people and does not need to be documented or submitted.
Certification
Participants who wish to earn the Pro-Housing Leadership Certification must also complete the Optional Capstone Session, which is required for certification.
The capstone is a live, facilitated session where participants will:
- Analyze housing and zoning patterns in their own neighborhood using public tools, and
- Deliver a one-minute mock public comment advocating for a housing or policy change
There are no exams and no grades. Certification is based on engaged participation and applied understanding, not performance.
